Former Isibaya actress Samukele Mkhize is not leaving Skeem Saam as Khwezi.
‘SAMUKELE MKHIZE ISN’T LEAVING THE SHOW‘
The SABC1 soapie, Skeem Saam revealed to The South African on Monday, 29 April that Samukele Mkhize is still with the show.
When asked if the actress is leaving, the show said: “That is definitely fake news. Samukele isn’t leaving the show.”
This comes after entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonald reported that Mkhize who plays Khwezi has exited Skeem Saam.
“Samukele Mkhize’s storyline as Khwezi Maphosa will be coming to an end on. Watch her final episode on 30 April at 19:30 on SABC1,” said Mcdonald on Monday.
Mcdonald wrote a follow up post on X and said: “I deleted the #SkeemSaam post because I found out a few hours later that it is not accurate. The person who gave me the info misled me. It’s a mistake on my side. Apologies and definitely not interacting with that person again,” he concluded.
The TVSA Skeem Saam, Tuesday 30 April teaser reveals that there will be a car crash and Lehasa Maphosa will be apologetic about it.
“A car crash victim succumbs to injuries in hospital.”
The May teasers reveal that Lehasa (Cedric Fourie) is going to be sorry for taking someone’s life. This may mean that Lehasa may have crashed into another car and killed someone.
Wednesday 1 May: “Lehasa is sorry for taking someone’s life.”
The May teasers also reveal that Kgosi (Katlego Letsholonyana) will blackmail Lehasa. This comes after he tipped Khwezi about Lehasa poisoning her wine.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT KHWEZI
The former Isibaya actress Samukele Mkhize joined Skeem Saam as Khwezikazi “Khwezi” Gisela in November 2021. Her character is a ruthless, ambitious reporter who’s been out to make her baby daddy Lehasa’s life hell.
She began dating Lehasa after his relationship with Nothile (Mbali Mavimbela) ended because she didn’t want children.
Nothile informed Lehasa that she can’t bear him any children in October 2021 because she removed her womb.
Lehasa paid lobola for Khwezi after she fell pregnant with his baby. They were married for less than a year when she filed for divorce after he tricked her into getting shares in her business, Khwezi Beauty.
They have a baby together named LJ Junior Maphosa, who many Skeem Saam fans believe is Kgosi’s baby.
