The IFP-led Zululand District Municipality has told News24 that it won’t be doing media interviews about the appointment of AmaZulu king praise-singer Buzetsheni Mdletshe as a “senior arts and culture coordinator”.

Mdletshe served under the late King Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu for 46 years and continued under the late king’s son, King Misuzulu kaZwelithini.

He was recently fired by the KwaZulu-Natal provincial government after being on its payroll since the year 2000.
