In a battle of the Plumtree’s, it was John’s Sharks that came out winners of his son Taine’s Scarlets as the Durban-based franchise ran out 32-27 winners in a tight United Rugby Championship (URC) clash in Wales on Friday night as winger Werner Kok scored a hat-trick.

Of course, Plumtree senior had to watch from the stand as his son gave a good account of himself against his father’s Springbok-laden side.
