When Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cavin Johnson spent nine minutes speaking to the media after their staggering loss to Richards Bay last weekend, he was open about the fact that his players were arguing in the dressing room.

“I can tell you that my players are in the dressing room, and they are actually arguing with each other,” he said as the elation of the Natal Rich Boys celebrations echoed throughout the corridors of the King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday.

It was the club’s 10th DStv Premiership loss of the 2023/24 campaign, which saw them drop into the bottom half of the log standings in 10th place with six matches remaining to salvage their MTN8 spot – teams are required to finish in the top eight to qualify – for next season.
