WATCH: Mpho Sebeng’s friend explains why he was in North West

Sisanda, who was friends with Mpho Sebeng reveals why the actor was in the North West province when he got into a car accident that claimed his life.

The Ring of Lies actor died in a car accident in Potchefstroom in the early hours of Sunday, 5 May morning.

FRIEND EXPLAINS ACTOR’S LAST DAY

Sisanda who was friends with the actor Mpho Sebeng paid tribute to the star at his memorial service on Thursday, 9 May.

He also explained the actor’s last moments so that his family and the supporters can understand what happened.

“He was the last to arrive, where we were. It was communicated that it’s far and we are not supposed to drive at night.”

“In the early hours of the morning they were still having fun. Some of us went to sleep because we don’t drink the grapes. They sneaked out because it was so early. It was stressed out that gents these roads are not nice.”

Sisanda adds that they also buried another friend three weeks ago with Mpho. Their late friend also died from a car accident on a Sunday, just like Mpho.

He’s asking for South Africans to pray for them as they don’t know what’s going on.

The Citizen reports that Sebeng was travelling with another person when the accident happened.

MEMORIAL SERVICE AT JOBURG THEATRE

Bona reports that the friends and family of the late actor, Mpho Sebeng gathered at the Joburg Theatre to pay tribute in his memorial service.

His family confirmed his death in a statement and asked the public to give them space to process the news.

“Whilst the family appreciates the immense outpouring of love and condolences, the family requests the space to process the news.

“Details of his home going celebrations will be communicated in due course and we request that you continue to hold the Sebeng family in prayer,” read a statement issued by the family spokesperson, Oupa Morake.

MOTLATSI MAFATSHE PAYS TRIBUTE TO MPHO SEBENG

House of Zwide actor Motlatsi Mafatshe thanked the Mpho Sebeng family for lending him to the industry.

Mafatshe said they spoke of his talent when the late actor arrived and knew he would do big things. 

“He had this amazing aura of being a superstar; you could see he was quality. He had the biggest heart with his friends.”

“Whenever you’ve been in the acting game for too long, he would want to know how you do this and how I can better my performance and myself. I’ve never met anyone who was so professional.”
