WATCH: Loftus erupts with Rassie ‘anthem’

During Saturday’s sold-out clash between the Bulls and Stormers at Loftus, a memorable moment stood out just before kick off, with fans belting out the now famous remix of The Cranberries’ 1994 hit song Zombie, changing the chorus to ‘He’s in your head, Rassie, Rassie, Rassie’.

The original song, which became a favourite during the Rugby World Cup, was particularly embraced by Irish fans until South Africans adopted the ‘Rassie remix’.

This ‘Rassie anthem’ was also sung by Springbok players after the 2023 World Cup triumph, and is likely to become a regular feature at all of this year’s home Test matches, particularly if the rendition at Loftus is anything to go by.

You can watch the Loftus crowd singing to Rassie below:

Blockbuster season ahead for the Springboks

Rassie is now back as Springbok head coach, and there is every chance that ‘he’s in your head’ remix will become a crowd favourite during the upcoming home Test matches.
