Thamsanqa Gabuza to appear in court on serious charges – report

TS Galaxy striker Thamsanqa Gabuza is reportedly set to appear in court TODAY (Wednesday) on serious charges!

According to Sunday World, Gabuza is facing charges of attempted rape, domestic violence and malicious damage to property.

The publication reports that Gabuza was arrested on Tuesday, 21 November and will make an appearance at the Alexander Magistrate’s Court.

THAMSANQA GABUZA FACES SERIOUS CHARGES

“Former Orlando Pirates, Bafana Bafana and Supersport United striker will on Wednesday appear in the Alexandra magistrate’s court on attempted rape, domestic violence and malicious damage to property charges,” reports the publication.

“The soccer star was arrested on Tuesday afternoon following a police investigation. The player is accused of damaging a cellphone and laptop belonging to a 31-year-old woman. The police had not yet commented by the time of going to print.”

GABUZA’S FORMER TEAMMATE LORCH ESCAPES PRISON

Meanwhile, Gabuza’s former teammate at Orlando Pirates, Thembinkosi Lorch, escaped prison after his three-year jail sentence was suspended for five years.

However, the sentence was suspended with conditions that he should not be convicted of assault to cause grevious bodily harm during that period.

Furthermore, Lorch was ordered to pay a R100 000 fine to gender-based violence group People Opposing Women Abuse.

Lastly, Lorch was declared unfit to possess any firearm as part of the conditions for the suspended jail sentence.
