IS HE LEAVING MAMELODI SUNDOWNS?

An agent of the Mamelodi Sundowns’ assistant coach confirmed to SABC Sports in 2023 that Manqoba Mgqithi is contracted until 30 June 2024.

“I’ve said this before, Manqoba is contracted to Mamelodi Sundowns until 30 June 2024, so he has another season at the club,” said Mike Makaab.

“He is happy at Sundowns, and unless there is a change of heart. As it stands, Manqoba will be with Mamelodi Sundowns in the new season.”

The publication adds that Mngqithi was demoted in October 2022 with Rulani Mokwena, who subsequently took over as the sole head coach.
