Cricket South Africa’s director of cricket, Enoch Nkwe, said Proteas batter Rassie van der Dussen hasn’t retired from red-ball cricket even though he signed a contract with the organisation that sees him playing white-ball cricket exclusively for the next year.

Van der Dussen is one of four players among the 20 contracted men’s players at CSA who have white-ball contracts that make them eligible to play T20 and ODI cricket.

The others are David Miller, Tabraiz Shamsi and Heinrich Klaasen, with Klaasen having retired from Test cricket to focus purely the shorter formats.
