Bulls director of rugby Jake White admitted the 40-22 win over the Stormers was as satisfying as it was long overdue.

The Bulls’ Saturday win in front of a packed and frenzied capacity Loftus crowd of 50 026, the bulk of whom stayed long after the final whistle, was their first against their bitter rivals in the United Rugby Championships.

The Bulls had lost seven consecutive URC games against the Stormers, including two play-off matches, but this time played well enough for the win and were deserving, with White saying his team would take in the moment without being complacent.
