Ronwen Williams has called on all South Africans, regardless of their club allegiances, to fill up Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Friday night and rally behind Mamelodi Sundowns in their quest for a second CAF Champions League title.

The Brazilians will host Esperance in Pretoria at 20:00 in the return leg of the Champions League’s semi-final after losing the first leg 1-0 in Tunis.

The Tshwane side need to overturn that result to not only advance to the final of the tournament for the first time since they were crowned African champions in 2016, but also to book a place at next year’s expanded FIFA Club World Cup.

South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future. News24 has kept the country informed for 25 years, and we’re about to enter a new chapter of fearless journalism.
