News24 Sport’s Khanyiso Tshwaku on Sunday scooped the prestigious Sport Journalist of the Year accolade at the SA Sport Awards at Sun City in North West.
Tshwaku, who has been a News24 Sport staff member since 2021, is a versatile writer with a vast knowledge of a variety of sports.
He has written extensively on rugby, cricket and soccer.
Tshwaku’s career highlight was covering the Springboks’ victorious 2023 Rugby World Cup campaign in France where he spent the entirety of the tournament covering the Boks.
“We’re very proud of Khanyiso’s accomplishment. He exemplifies the excellence we strive for,” said News24 Sport editor Lloyd Burnard.
“He sets a great example with his work-ethic and passion for his trade. His Rugby World coverage in France last year was a standout.”
