Former Isibaya actress Samukele Mkhize has left Skeem Saam as Lehasa’s baby mama, Khwezi.
INSIDE SAMUKELE MKHIZE’S DEPARTURE
Entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonald reports that actress Samukele Mkhize who plays Khwezi has exited Skeem Saam.
Mkhize’s final episode will be on Tuesday, 30 April. She joined the show in November 2021 and has undoubtedly become the most-hated character in the soapie.
The TVSA Skeem Saam, Tuesday 30 April teaser reveals that there will be a car crash but doesn’t reveal if this is how Khwezi will bow out of the show.

The May teasers reveal that Lehasa (Cedric Fourie) is going to be sorry for taking someone’s life. This may mean that either Khwezi or Lehasa may have crashed into another car and killed someone else unintentionally.
Wednesday 1 May: “Lehasa is sorry for taking someone’s life.”
Mkhize’s character may run away from Lehasa and disappear just like Lehasa’s ex-girlfriend, Lelo Mthiyane played by Amanda du Pont.
The May teasers also reveal that Kgosi (Katlego Letsholonyana) will blackmail Lehasa. This comes after he tipped Khwezi about Lehasa poisoning her wine this week.
WHO IS KHWEZI?
Singer and Skeem Saam actress Samukele Mkhize plays the role of a villain Khwezikazi “Khwezi” Maphosa. She is a ruthless, ambitious reporter who’s been out to make her baby daddy Lehasa’s life hell.
She began dating Lehasa after his relationship with Nothile (Mbali Mavimbela) ended because she didn’t want children.
Nothile informed Lehasa that she can’t bear him any children in October 2021 because she removed her womb.
Khwezi dated Lehasa to get back at Nothile and her family as she previously had an affair with Nothile’s rich father.
Lehasa paid lobola for Khwezi after she fell pregnant with his baby. They were married for less than a year when she filed for divorce after he tricked her into getting shares in her business, Khwezi Beauty.
They have a baby together named LJ Junior, who many Skeem Saam fans believe isn’t even his.
