REVEALED: When Kaizer Chiefs should return for pre-season!

Kaizer Chiefs had a season to forget in the last, and could already find themselves back on the training ground.

Chiefs finished in their lowest position in their history last season, and will have to get things right quickly!

In achieving that 10th spot finish, Chiefs will see themselves miss out on a first opportunity for silverware. This being through the MTN8. They will then have three more opportunities to try and ensure the trophy drought doesn’t go to 10 years. The DStv Premiership, Carling Knockout Cup and Nedbank Cup.

Chiefs set to announce Nabi

They fell out of all of those competitions, doing so at the first hurdle in the Carling Knockout Cup and Nedbank Cup. And in trying to put things right, Chiefs are now pressing ahead with the appointment of a new high profile coach. In this case, the familiar face of Nasreddine Nabi. The club have reached an agreement with both him and AS FAR for an early release from his contract. This could see the Throne Cup semifinal fixture on the 23rd of June being his last game in charge.

If that is to be the case, it seems like he could be expected to hit the ground running! According to iDiski Times, Chiefs could be back soon for their preparations for next season.

iDiski Times understands talks over a brief warm-weather training camp in Europe are also being discussed for pre-season, with the squad set to report as early as next week for their medical checks.” Said the source.

Players already set to return?

Chiefs returned fairly early last season as well, with the players spotting new Kappa apparel. The players were in the gym for about two weeks, while the medicals were taking place. They’re not expected to take to the field until at least mid-July, with that being Nabi’s first opportunity to assess the players.

Are you looking forward to seeing a new look Chiefs, Amakhosi fans?
