REVEALED: Kaizer Chiefs identify THREE priority signings!

It is set to be a transfer window of change at Kaizer Chiefs, with new coaches and players expected.

On the coaching front, Chiefs are expected to appoint Nasreddine Nabi as their new head coach, ahead of next season.

He is also expected to bring in his own technical team, which Chiefs will give the tools for success to. As has been reported by this publication, Nabi is looking to bring six new members with him, to complete the coaching staff overhaul. There will need to be one on the playing field too. Last season, Amakhosi finished 10th, enduring their worst season ever. For that to change, players and coaches have to change.

Exits first?

Nabi will first have to run the rule on player departures. Keagan Dolly, Njabulo Ngcobo, Siyethemba Sithebe, Edmilson Dove, George Matlou, Sifiso Hlanti and Itumeleng Khune are in danger of leaving. But it is believed that it is not only the players out of contract at risk of leaving the club.  Players such as Mduduzi Mdantsane and Tebogo Potsane are also thought to be at a crossroads at Chiefs. One other player that was mentioned in the same breath earlier last season is defender Zitha Kwinika.

Should those players all depart Chiefs, they will have to be replaced. Now according to iDiski Times, Chiefs gave earmarked three priority positions for signings.

Chiefs priority positions revealed

“Sources have previously indicated a striker, left-back and goalkeeper remain among the priority targets for the club (Chiefs) in the upcoming weeks, while several players who are out of contract, will have final decisions on extensions or being released in the coming days.Among the out-of-contract players, Njabulo Ngcobo has already a deal in principle with Sekuhkune United, as he looks to end his three-year stay at Naturena.” Wrote the publication.

Chiefs have been linked with the likes of Lebo Mothiba, Iqraam Rayners and Andy Boyeli in the striking department. While Fawaz Basadien and Riaan Hanamub were touted as potential lef-back targets. Goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali and Salim Magoola have also been linked with Amakhosi.
