BBC 5Live presenter Nicky Campbell was moved to tears live on-air, after hearing a story from radio guest Karen Jolliffe, a former sub-postmistress who was jailed after being accused of stealing from her Post Office branch.
ITV’s four part mini-series about the scandal, titled Mr Bates vs the Post Office, first aired on 1 January.
Ms Jolliffe said she was only able to bring herself to watch the dramatisation last night, after finding it too difficult to do so before.
