Orlando Pirates to announce new specialist

Orlando Pirates are working to catch up with the supreme Mamelodi Sundowns with a large team of specialists. A new technical team analyst is coming to Soweto.

ORLANDO PIRATES HIRE VIDEO ANALYST

Sea Robbers supporters might be surprised to learn that the Soweto giants did not have a video analyst? According to iDiski Times, Orlando Pirates are set to announce a video analyst from TS Galaxy.

“Orlando Pirates are set to conclude a deal for TS Galaxy analyst Ncwadi Saki ahead of the new season,” the outlet reported.

“It’s been confirmed to iDiski Times that Ncwadi Saki is the next to bolster their backroom staff as video analyst, as he’s said to have agreed terms for a move away from the Rockets,” the report added.

TWO RIGHT-BACKS TARGETED

If anyone watched the Buccaneers in the past two seasons, you have noted the instability at right-back. Before the arrival of Thabiso Lebitso from Chippa United in January, the likes of Thabiso Monyane and Bandile Shandu failed to fully grab the opportunity to be Orlando Pirates’ number one right-back.

With Monyane still yet to master his timing, decision-making and balance, new reports say Stellenbosch FC’s Deano Van Rooyen is a big target, with Orlando Pirates willing to strike a swap deal.

“KickOff can reveal that Stellenbosch FC are targeting an Orlando Pirates defender as part of a swap deal that could see their captain Deano Van Rooyen joining the Buccaneers next season. Pirates are edging closer to signing Van Rooyen in a bid to reinforce their defence for next season,” the outlet reported.

“Now, Pirates are believed to have offered Thabiso Monyane to Stellies as part of a swap deal that could see Van Rooyen moving in the opposition direction next season.

“Pirates are desperate to sort out their right back position. The club has approached Stellenbosch for the services of Deano [Van Rooyen]. Stellies have also been interested in Monyane since last season and there could be a swap deal on the cards,” the report concluded.

Additionally, the Soweto giants are said to be keen on Polokwane City’s right-back’s 25-year-old Thabang Tholo Matuludi. “Polokwane City defender Thabang Matuludi is on the wanted list of Stellenbosch and Orlando Pirates,” Unplayable reported.

MIDFIELD REPLACEMENTS

Orlando Pirates reportedly signed Thalente Mbatha on a permanent deal. According to SABC Sport, Mbatha’s former SuperSport United teammate, Selaelo Rasebotja has also put pen to papter to join Orlando Pirates.

Mbatha, who plays as a six, is Monare’s replacement, while Rasebotja, an eight, will take Makaringe’s place.
