Police have identified two Western Cape men who were allegedly shot by their friend on his Northern Cape farm.

On Friday, police spokesperson Colonel Cherelle Ehlers confirmed that the victims are 54-year-old Coenraad de Beer and 56-year-old James Kriel.

The two men died in hospital on Wednesday after the shooting incident at Vioolsdrift in the early hours of Monday morning.
