President Cyril Ramaphosa says it “unfounded” to even suggest SA-US relations can deteriorate because of South Africa’s position on Gaza.
There is no reason to suggest the relationship between South Africa and the US will be affected by South Africa’s position on Gaza, President Cyril Ramaphosa said on Thursday.
That relationship “has received a great deal of attention recently”, he added in a regular letter, providing the opportunity to “clarify our positions and to correct misperceptions about our foreign policy”.
And one such misperception was on Gaza, Ramaphosa said.
