A truck driver narrowly escaped death after a bullet whizzed right past him on the N1 highway between Johannesburg and Polokwane.
The truck driver had stopped at a petrol station along the highway on Wednesday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba said: “He pulled into the N1 fuelling station near Polokwane, bought some drinks, got back into his truck and drove away. As he drove, four unknown males, one of whom was armed, approached his truck while it was in motion, from the passenger side.”
