The Lions steadfastly continued their now familiar and infuriating Jekyll-and-Hyde routine as the high from a momentous win over Leinster last weekend was summarily replaced, seven days later, by a depressing 13-33 loss to Munster here on Saturday evening.

Almost spookily, the complexion of this game was a mirror image of that triumphant outing, where the team that made all of the play self-destructed and the one on the supposed back foot absorbed the pressure and ruthlessly struck when the opportunity presented itself.
