President Cyril Ramaphosa used a state event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Expanded Public Works Programme in East London on Wednesday to stamp his authority on his government’s readiness for the next term.

The event was held at Buffalo City Stadium and was attended by EPWP participants, some of them in ANC regalia.

Ramaphosa said: “Like it or not, we are ready for the next term of government. We’re [here to] continue with the work, whether they like it or not.”
