President Cyril Ramaphosa has asked churchgoers in Cape Town to pray for a smooth and peaceful election. He also asked them to pray for the victory of the ANC at the polls later this month.

Speaking at the praise and worship service at the Reformed Apostolic Mission of Southern Africa in Gugulethu, Ramaphosa said that the “church has been with the ANC from its very inception” and remains a strong ally.

“The church is still with us. We feel it, we see it, we sense it, and we are grateful,” he said.
