Despite the ANC’s list to Parliament containing a rogue’s gallery implicated in the State Capture Inquiry report, President Cyril Ramaphosa insists that the party he leads is in a process of renewal and will achieve an “overwhelming majority”, despite polls tracking the ANC below 50%.

The ANC’s list for the National Assembly contains the names of current members of the executive Gwede Mantashe, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, Pinky Kekana, David Mahlobo, Zizi Kodwa, Thabang Makwetla and Dipuo Peters, as well as Zuma-era ministers Malusi Gigaba and Faith Muthambi – all who were implicated in the state capture report.

The Mail & Guardian reported on Friday that the National Prosecuting Authority was closing in on Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Kodwa.
