There are many things that are wrong with the DA’s election advert, and that doesn’t include the fact it looks like it was conceptualised and edited by a bunch of high schoolers for a group project, writes Qaanitah Hunter.

DA leader John Steenhuisen is smirking. His party’s election advert launched on Sunday evening is a success. It has done what ads are meant to do – get people talking!

The 33-second video was aimed at relaying the message that the upcoming general elections is about the survival of South Africa.
