Proteas women all-rounder Nadine de Klerk could not help but express her disappointment as South Africa suffered their first-ever T20 series defeat against Sri Lanka.

At an overcast Buffalo Park, half-centuries by captain Chamari Athapaththu and Harshitha Samarawickrama guided Sri Lanka to a four-wicket win that gave the visitors their first-ever series triumph against South Africa, claiming a 2-1 T20 series win.
