Parliament’s ethics committee has given Deputy President Paul Mashatile seven days to respond to a raft of corruption allegations hanging over his head.

On Thursday, Mashatile was in the National Assembly where he answered questions on the government’s efforts to clamp down on corruption.

But the tables quickly turned when he was questioned about the corruption allegations levelled against him. DA chief whip Siviwe Gwarube wanted his response to the allegations.
