The MK Party claims its court application to set aside the 2024 elections “is necessary for the entrenchment into our constitutional system reverence for our constitutional right to choose leaders”.

Yet, had the party obtained the two-thirds majority it claims it should have; it would have done away with this very Constitution.

Corruption-accused former president Jacob Zuma’s party launched an application to the Electoral Court to have the 2024 elections set aside, seeking a court order declaring the elections were not free and fair, and President Cyril Ramaphosa must proclaim new elections.
