The Giyani Commercial Court in Limpopo has sentenced a Department of Home Affairs employee to an effective eight years in prison for fraud and corruption. 

The department said the court sentenced Amos Ngwenyama on Friday.

Ngwenyama, who was stationed at the Malamulele branch, accepted bribes and fraudulently issued birth certificates to foreign nationals.
