The DA has previously called the EFF its number one enemy.

On King David Studio, a podcast, Helen Zille recently claimed if the EFF was to come into government, the rand would “crash to the floor”.

The DA has also warned of a Doomsday Coalition of the EFF and ANC, with the leader of the party, John Steenhuisen, repeating the same sentiments at a DA rally in Springs on Friday evening. Despite all this, EFF leader Julius Malema is not opposed to working with the DA in a coalition government post the 29 May elections.
