Lungisani Gumede, a 29-year-old IFP supporter, wants to see his party win when South Africans go to the polls on Wednesday.

Gumede said he was “born in the IFP” by both his parents who religiously followed the principles of its late founder, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who doubled as the Zulu royal prime minister.

He hopes the IFP takes over the province and the country after the elections “because we’ve suffered under the ANC”.
