The death of a second infamous gang leader, Leroy “Finch” Brown, has instilled a sense of fear and anxiety in the community of Westbury in Johannesburg.
Initially, many locals celebrated Brown’s death by blowing vuvuzelas, dancing and playing music, but now others are fearful that his death may lead to revenge killings in the gang-plagued suburb.
“There is a sense of confusion about how people feel in Westbury,” community leader Jefferson Johnson told News24.
