The Constitutional Court has given uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party leader Jacob Zuma until Tuesday to file answering papers to oppose the Electoral Commission of SA’s (IEC) appeal against an Electoral Court decision relating to his participation in the elections.

The extension comes after Zuma’s legal team asked the apex court for more time on Wednesday.

In a letter addressed to “Honourable Deputy Chief” Justice Mandisa Maya, dated 24 April, Zungu Incorporated Attorneys requested the court to extend the deadline to 30 April.
