The ANC now wants to hold the disciplinary hearing of its former president, Jacob Zuma, “in abeyance” until after the elections.

This is due to security concerns in the run-up to the elections.

On Thursday, the party announced that it would take disciplinary action against Zuma because he announced in December that he would not vote for the ANC or campaign for them, but for the fledgling uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party.
