Hoping to attract support in Soweto, the ANC in Gauteng leaned on star power, whipping out soccer champion Doctor Khumalo and musician Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse.
Sexwale, Khumalo and Mabuse were all warmly welcomed by Soweto residents who met them on the campaign trail.
The group was also showered with prayers by an elderly woman who urged them not to give up the fight.
