It’s that relatively easy-going attitude that explains why Cape stalwart Schalk Brits isn’t too perturbed by a Stormers campaign that’s been dogged by inconsistency in both the URC and European Champions Cup.

John Dobson’s troops travelled to Wales on Tuesday acutely aware of the fact that their fifth position on the overall URC log is tenuous at best, with only two log points separating them from ninth-placed Edinburgh, a situation explained by their suffering six defeats to date this season – the most in their short history in the competition.
