It’s dry taps this Good Friday for some Johannesburg residents plagued by water outages caused by system challenges from Johannesburg Water and the bulk water supplier Rand Water.

In a statement, Johannesburg Water said it had arranged for roaming tankers to deliver water in areas experiencing outages.

“Johannesburg Water technical teams are currently working on interventions to improve supply to these areas. These include checking for any valve closure and the repairing of bust pipes,” the statement read.
