Kaizer Chiefs pack for Durban with 3 suspensions and plenty of headaches

With just three matches left before the curtain falls on their 2023/2024 DStv Premiership campaign, Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Durban one last time this season to face AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday, 12 May.

Kick-off is at 17:30.

Kaizer Chiefs have three players suspended

Kaizer Chiefs are coming off a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night against TS Galaxy at the New Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane, where the match officials, led by referee Cedric Muvhali, issued Amakhosi with two red cards.

With only a handful of matches to go, the mission to finish in the top 8 – and secure a MTN8 place next season – has become even more critical with the Glamour Boys needing to collect all the available points on offer.

AmaZulu will be looking to leapfrog Kaizer Chiefs on the log, as they are currently 12th with 32 points from 27 matches.

Amakhosi are in eighth with 34 points after 27 outings.

Coach Cavin Johnson will go into the game with some headaches due to injuries and suspensions to key players, including Edmilson Dove, Given Msimango and Brandon Petersen.

Tickets for the match are on sale through TicketPro online at www.ticketpros.co.za or Spar and Boxer Supermarkets, as well as Sasol and Shell filling stations, including Postnet outlets throughout the country.

They start at R40 per ticket.
