Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi is topping trends against the backdrop of his recent Instagram posts. The Orlando Pirates shot-stopper recently gave Mzansi a sneak peek of the lush rural mansion he is building in KwaZulu-Natal.
No doubt the 26-year-old is seemingly spending thousands, if not millions, on his immediate family and is not shy to show it off.
MELUSI BUTHELEZI’S FLASHIEST CARS
However, his recent post not only gave Mzansi a glimpse of his lush rural mansion under construction but also one of his flashiest cars. Like those before him, Melusi Buthelezi has splurged thousands on some of the world’s flashiest cars.
Mzansi spotted his Audi SQ5 in the now-viral photos. The car has a base price tag of R650 000 and is available at several dealerships around South Africa.
The car boasts a turbocharged 3.0-litre V-6 engine. According to reports, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds. Melusi Buthelezi has also been spotted driving around in a Toyota Hilux bakkie, which he often posts on his social media accounts.
Bakkie prices tend to vary by model, year of manufacture, and trims. However, one can purchase a Toyota Hilux 2.0 single cab for R380 000. However, some bakkies cost over a million.
The star also owns a VW Golf. Judging from his social media feeds, the German automobile was seemingly his first purchase. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that he owns a BMW. However, contrary to the rumour mill, the star has yet to confirm the news.
No doubt Melusi Buthelezi’s impressive fleet often thrust him into the top trends, leaving many trying to connect the dots about his income streams. However, the star has managed to keep his private life under wraps, leaving many to guess.
CAREER
Melusi Buthelezi started his senior career with the National First Division side Jomo Cosmos before moving to TS Galaxy in 2020. In 2022, he made his international debut, coming from the bench while playing against Sierra Leone.
However, his impressive form with TS Galaxy saw many teams fighting for his signature. Buthelezi kept ten clean sheets in the 21 games he played for the club. However, he made eight clean sheets in his first ten appearances for the Soweto giants.
The star confirmed his exit from TS Galaxy at the end of the 2022/2023 season. “I will be forever grateful for the opportunity this team gave me,” Buthelezi posted on social media a few hours after TS Galaxy wrapped up their season.
