Four Chiefs stars ruled out for 4 to 12 weeks

A few fringe players at Kaizer Chiefs are about to get what could be career-defining opportunities. Four regulars will be in the injury room for several weeks.

KAIZER CHIEFS CONFIRM INJURIES

Following last weekend’s 2-0 win over Royal AM, Amakhosi have since confirmed four injury casualties.

  • Khama Billiat, torn groin muscle – Out until next season
  • Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, thigh muscle – Out for three to four weeks
  • Reeve Frosler, jaw fracture – Out for six to eight weeks
  • Dillan Solomons, dislocated shoulder – Out for six to eight weeks.

Meanwhile, the likes of Mduduzi Shabalala and Wandile Duba are expected to earn significantly increased game-time in the absence of Billiat and Ngcobo, while the club is expected to move one central defender or midfielder to right-back, and maybe promote a young talent like Puso Dithejane.
