Jemondre Dickens, who briefly played for Bafana, as well as Baroka FC and Chippa United in South Africa, suffered a severe leg injury back in 2021.
Since then, he has been forced onto the sidelines, having previously claimed that his last club Chippa were not willing to cover the costs of wire removal on his knee.
He is now at the centre of a BackaBuddy fundraising campaign to try and raise the R50 000 required to remove the medical wiring.

This talented 25 years old winger played for TS Sporting, Baroka FC and Chippa United FC.
He suffered a knee injury in December 2022, had a successful operation and thankfully also made a full recovery since.
Chippa United FC chose not to renew his contract, leaving this talented u23 National Team player stranded and desperate for a return to do what he loves best, play football and so support his Family.
This is where we, as football lovers and the community come in. For when we pull together, we can move mountains. We are Stronger Together!
My call herewith is for us to raise the R50 000 required to remove the medical wiring from Jemondre’s knee. Our aim is raise the full amount soonest in order for Jemondre to commence his career as soon as the 2023/24 season kicks off in August.
No amount is too small or insignificant. Every little bit helps!
