Award-winning actor Ryan Gosling left his fans baffled after his latest appearances, with some wondering if he’s had fillers injected into his face.
The Canadian-born Hollywood star has been promoting The Fall Guy, a new action comedy-drama in which he stars as a down-on-his-luck stuntman on a mission to save a famous actor.
IS RYAN GOSLING’S FACE EDITED OR THOSE FILLERS?
During the world premiere for new movie, as part of this year’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, fans noticed that the actor looked different. The actor has a visibly puffy face, judging by the images shared on social media.
One fan shared a video of the Barbie star at the premiere with the caption: “This is him talking recorded by Associated Press. When he smiles the cheeks are looking suspiciously…filled?”
However, an unconvinced fan said: “This is a screencap from the video. Not looking his best but also seems like the picture that was linked in OP is altered.”
This was corroborated by Community Notes on X, which wrote: “These photos are edited. Recent photos of Ryan Gosling show no such changes to his face.”
ZAC EFRON FACIAL SURGERY
While cosmetic surgery is common for women, it is still taboo for men. However, Gosling is not the only male public figure whose set tongues wagging about the “transformation” on his face.
In September 2022, when award-winning actor Zac Efron made his first red carpet appearance in over three years, his fans could not stop talking about his face.
However, in the High School Musical star’s case, he admitting to getting work done on his face in an interview with Men’s Health.
Efron explained that the change happened after he shattered his jaw during an accident in his house in 2013. The actor said that he slipped, hit the corner of a fountain, passed out and woke up to his “chin bone hanging off” his face.
Further explaining, he said when he recovered, his facial muscles got “really, really big” to compensate for the injury.
“The masseter [muscles] just grew,” Efron added.
SIMON COWELL’S TRANSFORMATION
Another celebrity who often sets tongues wagging for his “changing faces” is Britain’s Got Talent judge, Simon Cowell.
From as far back as 2008, Cowell admitted that having botox was as commonplace as brushing his teeth.
According to People Magazine, the music mogul said: “To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste. It works, you do it once a year – who cares?”
However, in April 2022, he confessed to The Sun that he has “gone a bit far” with his fillers. Cowell told the outlet that he decided to have it all removed after his appearance left his son, Eric “in hysterics”.
“There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all.”
